The Challenge
After a complete rebranding initiative, Pacific Community Ventures (PCV) wanted their website to reflect the look and feel of a new logo and color palette. The most important goal of the site was also to improve overall user experience. In addition, they wanted to streamline their online presence by integrating their BusinessAdvising.org website into the main PCV site. The site had to be mobile friendly and had multiple integration elements including:
- Donation form to accept payments.
- Newsletter sign up form to pass data to their email solution.
- Small business loan application form passing data to admin.
The Solution
I developed a creative brief detailing how the new visual brand guidelines would translate to an updated website. Then I did UX discovery and consultation in order to create the site maps for updated PCV Enterprise Site. I generated a Functional Specifications Document describing the UX approach, backend configuration (permissions and roles) and 3rd party applications to be incorporated into new sites.
I created wireframes to show how the content of the site would be prioritized and arranged for desktop and mobile. From these I designed visual concepts for the home page and samples of inner pages.
After the site development, I facilitated learning sessions to show the director of marketing how to navigate the dashboard of the WordPress site. In addition I provided a handy document for reference.
Results
The monthly average users before the site redesign was 7,200, and the monthly average users after the site design is 11,000. And the conversion rates for their loan products went from 4% to 16%.
